A man has appeared in court in Dublin, charged with the murder of his mother.
30-year-old Fionn Braidwood is accused of killing Jane Braidwood at Clarinda Park East in Dún Laoghaire on Tuesday.
He replied "no" when charged at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station at 6 o'clock yesterday evening.

Fionn Braidwood was remanded in custody to Cloverhill District Court until next Thursday when a bail application will be made.
He was also granted free legal aid.
His solicitor, Ronnie Lynam, asked that a psychiatric assessment be carried out on his fitness to stand trial and on general medical grounds.
