A man is due in court charged by Gardaí investigating the Monaghan horror crash that saw two teenage girls killed on their way to a debs night celebration last year.
17-year-old Kiea McCann and 16-year-old Dlava Mohamed died after the car they were travelling in left the road and hit a tree on the N54 in Legnakelly on Monday, July 31st.
The teenagers were on their way to Largy College debs as part of a convoy and family and friends were first at the scene.
In December, Gardaí investigating the crash arrested two people.
This morning, they charged a man in his 60s.
He is due to appear before Monaghan District Court this morning.
