A man arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a teenage girl on a street in north County Cork over the weekend is due in court this morning.
It is believed the girl was attacked by two men as she was walking alone Chapel Square near Fermoy town centre at around 1:20pm on Sunday.
Two other young men heard the girls screams and the attackers fled when they arrived to help.
The girl was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The scene was sealed off for forensic examination on Monday and a man in his 30’s was arrested.
He is due to appear before Mallow District Court this morning.
