A man is due in court in London today charged with the murder of an Irishman. Michael Hunt (37) was originally from Kilmore Quay in Co. Wexford but had been living there for several years.
He was found in a skip in South Norwood at around 7am last Saturday morning. He was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
Details of a post mortem examination that was carried out on his body have not been released.
On Tuesday, Detective Chief Inspector Diane Tudway said "The information available to us at this stage leads us to believe that Mr. Hunt was not the victim of a stranger or random attack".
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact the incident room in London (00-44) 8721-4005.
A man (21) is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court today after being arrested in London on Tuesday.
