The mother of three was found dead in her home in College Manor in Dundalk in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A post-mortem revealed she was beaten to death.

A man was arrested in Dublin on Thursday evening and is being detained at Dundalk Garda station.

He will be brought before a special sitting of the District Court in Dundalk later today.
