A man has escaped a kidnapping attempt on a street in Dublin.

It is understood the man was bundled into a car in the Northern Cross area shortly after 10am yesterday morning.

He managed to escape and the alarm was raised.

Gardaí said they are investigating the “attempted false imprisonment” in the Northern area at around 10:10am yesterday.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
