A man in his 40s will appear in court in Dublin this morning, charged with a major drugs seizure yesterday.

It's after €234,000 worth of cannabis resin was seized in an intelligence-led operation at a service station in the southbound lane of the M1, between the Skerries and Balbriggan junctions near Dublin, yesterday. The seizure weighed 39 kilos.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Balbriggan garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
