Gardaí are investigating after a man was found dead at a house in County Sligo this evening.

A Garda spokesperson said the man, aged in his late 30s, was found dead in “unexplained circumstances” at 8:30pm this evening.

The scene has been preserved and Gardaí are carrying out a technical examination.

The body remains at the scene.

The services of the Office of the State Pathologist have been requested and Gardaí say the results of a post-mortem examination will determine the course the investigation.
