A man in his 30s has died following a single-vehicle crash in Clarinbridge, County Galway on Thursday January 9th.

The collision, which was not reported to Gardaí, involved an SUV and occurred on the L4102, a minor road at Slievaun, Clarinbridge, shortly after 9:15am.

The car's sole occupant was subsequently found dead at home in Clarinbridge on Friday January 10th.

Following a post-mortem, Gardaí began a Fatal Traffic Collision investigation.

Both the vehicle and the scene of the collision have been examined.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to the collision, including motorists with dash-cam footage, to come froward.
