A man has been found not guilty of killing a taxi driver during a row over a fare on Pearse Street in Dublin back in November 2011.
William Keegan of Pearse House on Pearse Street admitted punching the Nigerian driver but denied his manslaughter.
Mr. Keegan sobbed uncontrollably when the jury cleared him of killing Moses Ayanwole.
During his trial, the court heard how he had been drinking for eight hours at a pub on Pearse Street, when he flagged down a taxi with four friends.
The victim refused to take five people in his cab and followed Mr. Keegan up the street looking for some sort of payment.
Keegan said he swung around and hit Moses once in the face before running home.
The Nigerian native died in hospital two days later, after falling backwards from the punch and banging the back of his head off the ground.
After around four hours of deliberations, the jury found Mr. Keegan not guilty of manslaughter.
He embraced his family and legal team outside the courtroom as friends and family of Mr. Ayanwole left the building without saying a word.
