A man who was filmed joking about recycling as he dumped a fridge off a cliff in Spain has been forced to pull it back up by hand.
In a video posted online, the man can be heard joking with the person behind the camera saying "recycling, let's go, recycle it" and "let's see how many flips it can do."

The man was later caught by police and fined €45,000. He was also ordered to retrieve the fridge and dispose of it correctly.
A subsequent tweet shows him struggling to pull the fridge back up the cliff by hand with the help of another person.

A spokesman for Spain’s Guardia Civil told CNN that authorities are considering whether he should face further charges.
Police said the company the man works for was now also under investigation after around 50 appliances were found improperly stored outside its warehouse.
