One heavy metal fan in Germany partied a little too hard, after he had to be treated for a blood clot on the brain.
The man (50) developed the condition after getting carried away with his headbanging at a performance by the rock band 'Motorhead'.
After the concert, the man started suffering a worsening headache that affected his whole head.
With the pain showing no sign of fading, he then went for treatment to Hannover Medical School.
A CT scan showed that he had a subdural haematoma - which is a clot caused by blood leaking into the space between the skull and the brain.
Surgeons drilled a hole into his skull and successfully removed the clot, and reports say the man has made a full recovery.
He had no history of head trauma.
The medical journal The Lancet said "His medical history was unremarkable and he denied substance misuse. Neurological examination and laboratory studies, including coagulation screening, were normal".
At a two month follow-up, he was free of neurological symptoms. This is the fourth documented case of a subdural haematoma linked to headbanging - one of which was fatal.
