A Dublin man has gone on trial accused of murdering his girlfriend's 61-year-old mother Patricia O'Connor.
Three others, including her daughter and granddaughter, are also on trial accused of impeding his apprehension and prosecution.
Kieran Greene of Mountainview Park in Rathfarnham is accused of murdering Patricia O'Connor at the same address on May 29th 2017.
It is the prosecution's case that he buried her in a shallow grave in Co Wexford after beating her to death in the bathroom of the home they shared - and that he returned with various tools which were then used to dismember her before her body parts were scattered across nine locations over a 30km radius across the Dublin Mountains.
The case against Stephanie O'Connor is that she disguised herself as her grandmother after her death to make it look like she was still alive.
Louise O'Connor, who is Patricia's daughter and mother to Stephanie, is accused of agreeing to and acquiescing in Stephanie disguising herself for that alleged purpose.
Her ex, Stephanie's father Keith Johnson, is accused of helping Mr Greene by buying items such as hacksaws, axes, black sacks and a large cover sheet to help conceal the remains and of refurbishing her bathroom to conceal evidence.
All four deny the charges.
