A 64 year old man who was being questioned about the disappearance of Mary Boyle has been released from Garda custody without charge.

The six year old vanished in County Donegal 37 years ago, and no trace of her has ever been found.

Pending further investigation a file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai say the investigation into Mary Boyle's disappearance is ongoing, and they are continuing to liaise with her mother, Ann Boyle.
