A man aged in his 60s has been taken to hospital after a fire in Dublin.

The alarm was raised at a flat on Montague Street at around 4:30am this morning.

It is believed the man was hospitalised for treatment for the effects of smoke inhalation.

An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire - but gardaí are not treating it as suspicious.
