A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital following a suspected shooting in Crumlin, County Dublin.

Gardaí and emergency services responded shortly before 10 o'clock last night to a house on Rutland Avenue in Crumlin.

A 39-year-old man was transferred to St. James' Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
