A man in his 20s was hospitalised following a serious collision involving a scrambler bike last night. 

Gardaí said the crash occurred at approximately 10pm last night on the Wheatfield Road in Palmerstown, Co Dublin. 

The driver of the scrambler was seriously injured and taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment. 

Investigations are ongoing. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly those with camera footage, to this crash to come forward.
