Gardai have arrested a man in his late twenties, in relation to an overnight gun attack in the capital.
The victim – also in his twenties – suffered leg injuries when at least one shot was fired at Fortlawn Park in Blanchardstown.
It happened at around 5 o’clock this morning and the man was taken to Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The suspect is being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
Gardai are also investigating a separate incident in the same estate, where a shot was fired through a window of a house but no one was injured.
It’s not known if the incidents are related.
