A man has appeared in court in connection with the death of Jordan Ronan in Tallaght – while a woman has been released without charge.
36-year-old Patrick Murphy, of Drumcairn Parade, Tallaght, appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice yesterday.
He was charged with the murder of Jordan Ronan at Drumcairn Avenue in the early hours of Friday morning.
Mr Murphy was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Wednesday.
A woman in her 30s was arrested yesterday but has now been released without charge.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
20-year-old victim Mr Fonan was fatally injured in the Drumcairn Estate area of Tallaght around 4am yesterday.
He was later pronounced dead at Tallaght University Hospital.
A postmortem examination has been completed, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate the incident and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
They are particularly interested in speaking to people who were in the Drumcairn Estate area between 3am and 4am yesterday.
Anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time has also been asked to make the footage available to Gardaí.
