A man is due to appear in court later charged in connection with the death of Anna Finnegan in Dublin.
The mother of 2 was stabbed a number of times at her home in Clonsilla on Friday night.
The 26-year-old woman was attacked at her home at Allendale Glen shortly before 9pm last Friday night.
Her two young children - aged 2 and 9 months – were asleep upstairs in the house at the time.
She was pronounced dead at Connolly Hospital a short time later.
Her brother Karl also received stab wounds during the incident.
He is in a stable condition at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night for questioning.
He is due to appear at Blanchardstown District Court later today.
