A man has appeared in court after liquid cocaine worth €114,800 was seized at Dublin Airport. Officers from the Revenue Customs Service seized the 1.6 kilos of the drug as a result of routine profiling.
Officers suspected a Bolivian man (64) who had arrived on a flight from Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday had ingested the cocaine.

He was handed over to gardai and later produced 39 packages filled with liquid cocaine.
He was charged in connection with the find yesterday and was remanded in custody by Judge Patricia McNamara.
He will appear in Cloverhill Court again next Thursday.
