A man is in critical condition in hospital after he was hit by a car during a shooting at a house in Tallaght last night.
A second man was also injured in the incident in the Kiltalown area of Jobstown shortly after 5pm yesterday.
Gardaí said “a number of shots” were fired at the house during the incident.
Injured
A man in his 30s was seriously injured after he was struck by a car during the incident.
He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.
The second man, aged in his 20s, was also taken to Tallaght Hospital; however, Gardaí said his injuries are not life-threatening.
Investigation
Gardaí are investigating the unlawful discharge of a firearm and the collision.
A car was discovered on fire and abandoned on nearby Mount Seskin Road shortly after the incident.
Gardaí said “a number of crime scenes” are currently preserved for forensic and technical examination.
No arrests have been made at this time.
