A man is in critical condition in hospital following an assault in Cork yesterday evening.
The assault happened on Olver Plunkett Street between 6pm and 7:30pm.
The man was seriously injured in the incident, and was taken to Cork University Hospital.
Gardaí say the man remains in a critical condition today.
In a statement, the force said: "Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Oliver Plunkett Street between 6p.m. and 7.30p.m. on Friday evening 10th September, 2021 and may have witnessed this assault to come forward.
"Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who may have been in the area of Grand Parade/Oliver Plunkett Street and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make this footage available to gardaí."
