Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run incident in Dublin.
At around 1 o'clock this afternoon, a 34 year old man was struck by a car on Trinity Lane at the back of Clonliffe Road on Dublin's Northside.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital - where he's said to be in a critical condition.
The car believed to have been involved was later found burnt out on Stoney Road in East Wall.
The victim is believed to be known to Gardaí and it's understood he's currently on temporary release from prison.
Gardaí are now investigating whether the man was deliberately targetted.
