A man is in critical condition in hospital following a serious assault outside a pub on Clonsilla Road.
Shortly after 11pm last night, Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of an incident at the entrance to the car park of a pub on Clonsilla Road in Dublin 15.
A man in his 40s sustained serious injuries and has been taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where he remains in critical condition.
A man in his 20s has been arrested following the incident and is currently being questioned at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
They are also appealing to anyone with camera footage including motorists with dashcam footage to contact them.
Investigations are ongoing.
