A man in his 30s remains in custody this morning following a drugs bust in Dublin.

Gardai raided a house in Tallaght yesterday evening and seized herbal cannabis worth around €32,500.

The man is being held at Tallaght Garda Station where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours. Gardai say it is part of an on-going investigation.

Firearms found in Sligo

Separately investigations are continuing in Sligo following the seizure of drugs and a number of firearms there yesterday. Gardai from Sligo were assisted by Regional Units.

As part of on-going investigations into organised crime officers found a sawn off shotgun, an imitation firearm and drugs with an estimated street value of €50,000 during searches in the Forthill area of the city. No arrests have been made in that investigation.
