A man has been arrested and remains in custody after a gun seizure in north Dublin city yesterday. 

The imitation gun was recovered at Preston Street in the north inner city at around 5.30pm yesterday evening. 

A man with a gun was disarmed by Gardaí when they arrived on the scene. 

A man in his 20s is being held at a Garda station in the Dublin area. 

Investigations are ongoing.
