A man in his 30s has died after a car crash in Arklow last night.
Gardaí said the car crashed into another parked car in the Abbey Street area of the County Wicklow town shortly before 8pm.
The man was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later.
There were no passengers in the car and there was nobody in the parked car at the time.
The man's remains have been removed to the mortuary at St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown where a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
The outcome of the post-mortem will determine the course of a Garda investigation into the case.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.
They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who was in the area and may have dashcam footage.
