Gardaí in Co. Louth are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault on a man in Dundalk.
The man aged in his 60s was subject to a serious assault in a pub last Friday.
He received serious head injuries following the assault at a bar on Castletown Road in the town between 9pm and 10:30pm on Friday.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where his injuries are described as serious.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the Castletown Road area between 8:30pm and 12 midnight on Friday February 28th, or who may have information, to contact Dundalk garda station.
