A man in his 20s is in serious condition following a hit-and-run in Dublin city centre.
Gardaí said a pedestrian was hit by a car near Heuston Train Station on St John’s Road West around 4am this morning.
The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken by ambulance to St James’s Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
The driver failed to remain at the scene and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
They are particularly interested in anyone who has dash-cam footage and was in the area at the time of the incident.
The scene is currently under examination by local scene of crime officers, and traffic diversions are in effect.
