A man in his 30s has been injured following a shooting in Drogheda this evening.
The incident occurred on the Bridge of Peace in the town at around 6.20pm.
The man was driving a taxi when a number of shots were fired at his vehicle.
He is not believed to have been the targeted victim of the attack.
The man has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in the town.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road is currently sealed off for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
It is not yet known whether the incident is linked to the ongoing feud in the area.
Gardaí said their investigations are ongoing.
Louth TD Fergus O'Dowd said he was "very concerned" but that the Gardaí and Armed Response Unit are very visible in the town.
He said that additional Gardaí and checkpoints had been added in the area in recent months.
Mr O'Dowd said: "They can't stop every act of violence and I regret very much that [the shooting] has happened."
