A man is receiving treatment in Galway following a four hour stand-off with gardaí.
Emergency services were alerted when a man - said to be carrying a fuel container - climbed onto to the roof of the Radharc an Chláir apartment building on Grattan Road in Salthill at around 5.30 yesterday evening.
The man - who is in his forties - was taken uninjured from the rooftop by officers shortly before 10 O'clock last night.
