A convicted double murderer who threatened to put a bullet in the back of a barrister’s head during a bail hearing has been jailed for 18 months.

24-year-old Gary Howard of Dunsoghly Grove in Finglas is already serving life sentences for shooting dead Patrick Mooney and Brendan Molyneux in Dublin city 2 years ago.

He pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to threatening to kill or cause serious harm to Grainne O’Neill.

She was acting for the State in opposing his High Court bail application in the Four Courts on August 16th last year.
