A man has died in a fire at an apartment complex for elderly people in Dublin this afternoon.

The blaze broke out at around 3 o'clock at Father Scully House on Grenville Street in the city centre.

The body of the man believed to be in his early sixties has been removed from the scene.

Investigations are ongoing at the property, but Gardai say they are not treating the fire as suspicious.
