A man aged in his 20s has been killed in a road crash in Co Limerick.

The two car collision happened on the N21 Cork to Limerick road at around 12:30pm.

It is unclear yet whether anyone else was injured.

The road has been closed off between O'Rourke's Cross and Charleville while gardai examine the scene.

The traffic delays are expected for a number of hours.
