A driver who died in a two-car collision in Mayo yesterday has been named locally as Ciaran Keating, singer Ronan Keating’s brother.
The crash occurred at approximately 3.35pm on Saturday, July 16th, on the N5 at Ballymiles near Swinford.
His body was taken to Mayo University Hospital for a post-mortem.
The driver of the second car, a man, was also taken to Mayo University Hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.
A male passenger was also hospitalised, while a female passenger was treated for non-serious injuries.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
