Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in a road crash in Donegal last night.

The two vehicle collision -involving a car and a van- happened at Brenter in Dunkineely shortly before 11 o'clock.

The 30-year-old driver of the van was killed while the 21-year-old man who was driving the car suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for a time this morning to allow for a forensic examination but has since re-opened to traffic.
