A man has died in a suspected stabbing at a house in Enniscorthy, County Wexford last night.

Emergency services were called to the property in Westbury Woods at around 9pm and believe the man, who was in his 40s, was attacked with a knife. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the State pathologist has been notified. 

A man in his 20s has been arrested and taken to Enniscorthy Garda Station for question. 

The Garda Technical Bureau will carry out an examination of the scene today.
