A man has gone on trial accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a neighbouring flat in North Dublin. It is alleged the attack happened in August 2008 while she was moving into her new home.
The jury has heard the alleged victim was moving from one flat to another in the same building when she heard a loud and repeated banging on the hall door and then a key turning in the lock.
The 40-year-old mother recognised a man from a neighbouring flat who smelled of drink. She alleges he struck up a conversation with her before grabbing her and sexually assaulting her.
She says she was left feeling sore, bruised and afraid.
The defence is questioning her about a seperate allegation of sexual assault she made last February.
They allege she changed her story on that occasion and that a Garda who encountered her that night described her as intoxicated and aggressive.
She maintains she does not drink alcohol and claims she was given a rape drug and that the Garda in question had no time for her.
