A man is recovering in hospital following a shooting incident in Belfast earlier this evening.

Police says they received a report at around 7pm that a man had received gun shot wounds to both arms and legs in the Norglen Gardens area of the west of the city.

The man has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

The PSNI are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
