A man arrested in connection with the death of Vincent Parsons in Dublin has been released without charge.
The 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday morning.
Gardaí said a file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Mr Parsons was found in Killinarden Estate in Tallaght with a number of head injuries on Saturday night.
Gardaí said the 34-year-old was seriously assaulted near the pub he had spent the evening in.
He died in Tallaght Hospital on Monday evening.
On Tuesday, Garda Superintendent Ian Lackey said it seemed Mr Parsons met a "very violent death" and said gardaí believed at least two people were involved.
Investigators are continuing to appeal for witnesses. They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who was near a public house in Killinarden on Saturday night between 10pm and 11pm.
The investigation is ongoing.
