A man has been rushed to hospital in Cork after he was stabbed multiple times this morning.
Gardaí are investigating the attack at a housing estate in Mayfield.
It is understood the fire service were initially called to the Annalee Grove estate following reports of a small fire.

When they arrived, firefighters discovered a man in his 30s with multiple stab wounds.
They administered care until advanced paramedics arrived at the scene.
He was rushed to Cork University Hospital where he is now expected to undergo surgery.
Gardaí are conducting door-to-door enquiries and a house and area close to it been sealed off for a technical exam.
Gardaí have been contacted for comment.
