A man is being treated for serious burn injuries after a dispute involving a group of men in a Dublin housing estate.

The man was rushed to St James’s Hospital after the incident at Thornton Heights in Inchicore at around 5:15pm yesterday.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who was in the area between 5pm and 6pm and may have video footage of the incident.

Several scenes have ben preserved for technical examination and the Garda investigations is continuing.
