A 20-year-old man has been injured in a hit-and-run incident in Dublin.
The incident happened on Cork Street shortly after 10:15pm on Friday.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene, and the injured pedestrian was taken by ambulance to St James's Hospital.
His injuries are believed to be serious.
Following the incident, the driver involved failed to stop and continued travelling in the direction of Dolphin's Barn.
Meanwhile, gardaí have preserved the scene of the crash for a forensic exam and local diversions are in place.
They're appealing for the driver of the car and any witnesses to come forward.
