Gardai in Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding two separate stabbings in Dublin last night.
At around half eleven lastnight a 19 year old man was seriously injured following a knife attack in a shop on College Green in Dublin City Centre.
He was taken to St James Hospital where is condition is described as serious but stable.
Three teenagers were arrested shortly after the attack. One male and one female have since been released while a third teenager remains in garda custody at Irishtown.
Elsewhere, Gardai in Dun Laoghaire are investigating the circumstances surrounding a separate stabbing.
A 41 year old man sustained serious injuries after he was stabbed at an apartment on Clarence Street at around half eleven.
A man in his 20s was arrested by Gardai at the scene and is being held at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.
A technical examination of both scenes is underway and Gardai are appealing for witnesses to either attack to come forward.
