A man in his 20s has been shot in Clondalkin in Dublin this evening.
The man was shot multiple times by a lone gunman at Shancastle Park at around 8.45pm.
It is understood the gunman fled from the scene on foot.
The injured man was initially treated at the scene by ambulance personnel before he was taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
He is understood to have serious but non life-threatening injuries.
The scene is currently preserved for examination by gardaí.
The say that no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
