Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a serious car crash in Cork, yesterday evening. 

At 6.20PM at Upper Cork Hill, Youghal, a man in his 60s was hit by a car. 

He was taken to hospital, where his injuries are described as serious. 

The road remains closed for a Garda examination and local diversions are in place. 

Gardaí are particularly interested in anyone who has dash cam footage recorded in the area between 6PM and 6.30PM, yesterday evening.
