A man has died after being shot in Co Louth.
It happened at around 2.50pm on Tuesday at a caravan park on the Clogherhead to Termonfeckin Road at Clogherhead.
A man aged in his early 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
He is believed to be a close associate of one of the family’s involved in the violent Drogheda feud.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
An incident room has been set up at Drogheda Garda station.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, particularly anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Clogherhead area earlier on Tuesday.
