A man in his twenties was shot dead this morning in Finglas, An Garda Síochána have said. 

Gardaí and emergency services arrived at Deanstown Avenue at around 4.30am where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crime scene has been cordoned off for a technical examination, the state pathologist has been notified and a post mortem will be carried out.
