The man who was shot in a restaurant in Blanchardstown on Christmas Eve has died in hospital.
Jason Hennessy Sr, aged in his 40s, died at the Mater Hospital in Dublin.
He had been in critical condition since December 24th and deteriorated over the last 48 hours.
Gardaí said two gunmen entered the restaurant on Christmas Eve and shot multiple fires, shooting Mr Hennessy in the neck.
This is the second murder investigation connected to the restaurant after suspected gunman Tristan Sherry was stabbed to death.
The 26-year-old Mr Sherry reportedly attempted to flee the premise but was apprehended and stabbed to death.
It is reported Mr Sherry was part of a group of people who attacked the restaurant, including at least one other gunman.
None of the other people involved in the shooting have been arrested, although following the death of Mr Hennessy, Gardaí are expected to accelerate investigations further.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of Mr Sherry, including 22-year-old Michael Andrecut, of Sheephill Avenue in Corduff.
Mr Andrecut was charged with Mr Sherry’s murder and remains in custody.
The attack has been linked to a criminal feud.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information regarding either murder investigation to come forward.
